Commodity Superfast: Indias March Palm oil imports jump 19% on month

India's palm oil imports jumped 19% in March over the previous month, as traders turned to safer alternatives to sunflower oil, which can no longer be bought from Ukraine. About 5.3 lakh tonnes of palm oil has been imported in March. 2.12 lakh tonnes of sunflower oil has been imported in March. Sunflower oil not imported in April. It is estimated that only 80 thousand tonnes of sunflower oil were imported in April.
