The government has decided that wherever a consignment of wheat has been handed over to customs for examination on or before May 13, such consignments will be allowed to be exported. Four days after this decision, on Monday, the global price of wheat increased by a record 6%. Global supply of wheat reduced after India imposed a ban on wheat exports. This has led to a rise in the prices of wheat in the international markets. Russian attack on Ukraine has increased the price of wheat by more than 60% this year. This decision of the government will give big relief to small businessmen. Now the wheat stuck at the port can be exported.
