Commodities Live: European Gas Prices Surge As Russian Pipeline Maintenance Fuels Fears Of A Total Shutdown

Natural gas prices in Europe surged by more than 18%. Fears of supply supply have led to a rise in natural gas prices in Europe. Russia's state-run energy company Gazprom said that it would close the Nord Stream 1 pipeline for maintenance between August 31 and September 2. Gazprom, Russia's largest gas company, currently has 20% supply.
