Budget 2024: The customary Halwa ceremony marked the beginning of the final stage of preparation for the Interim Union Budget 2024. Held in North Block on January 24, the ceremony saw participation from Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Kisanrao Karad. This signifies the "lock-in" process where budget discussions and finalization take place. Like previous budgets, the 2024 Interim Budget will be paperless and presented on February 1.
