President Droupadi Murmu will address both houses on the opening day, which is January 31, the sources added.

On February 1, the government would propose an "interim budget" or vote-on-account. The complete budget will be presented later by the newly elected government.

As the 17th Lok Sabha's term will end on June 16, this will be the final Parliamentary Session before general elections are called.

2019 saw the announcement of the Lok Sabha polls on March 10, and voting took place over the course of seven stages, from April 11 to May 19.
