In the Union Budget 2025 presentation, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced various changes related to the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sector. From boosting manufacturing in the country to a credit guarantee scheme, know what Finance Minister said in her speech.
"With quality products, MSMEs are responsible for 45 per cent of our exports," said Sitharaman.
Customised credit cards
Government will introduce customised credit cards with Rs 5 lakh limit for micro-enterprises.
Term loan
The government will provide a term loan of up to Rs 20 crore for well-run export-oriented MSMEs.
Credit guarantee cover
The government will also increase credit guarantee cover for MSMEs to improve credit access.
"Govt to provide support to National Cooperatives Development Corporation for lending operations," said Sitharaman.
