Budget 2023: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during the budget 2023-24 presentation in Parliament today, February 1 mentioned the term 'Amrit Kaal' several times. Sitharaman said, "This is the first budget in Amrit Kaal, this budget hopes to build on the foundation laid in the previous budget and the blueprint laid for India@100, we envision a prosperous and inclusive India in which the fruits of development reach all."

Budget 2023: What is Amrit Kaal?
The term 'Amrit Kaal' was first used by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the year 2021 during the 75th Independence Day celebrations. PM Modi used the term while unveiling a new roadmap for India for the next 25 years. At that time PM Modi had said that the purpose of Amrit Kaal is to improve the lives of the citizens of India and reduce the development gap between villages and cities. It also aimed to reduce government interference in people's lives and welcome the latest technology.
Amrit Kaal is a Vedic astrological term that refers to the critical time when the gates of greater pleasure open for the inhuman, angels, and humans. Amrit Kaal is considered the most auspicious time to begin any new work.
Budget 2023 is a full budget before the next general election in 2024 which will be presented in a paperless form similar to the budget 2021 and 2022. After the budget presentation the documents will be available on the Union Budget App which can be downloaded through Android phones and as well as IOS.
