Budget 2023: Ahead of the Union Budget 2023, Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi suggested that the government should devise ways to reward regular taxpayers. He added that taxpayers should be given benefits to motivate them to pay their taxes in a timely manner.
According to Singhvi, taxpayers should be given a score akin to credit rating or Cibil score, and regular taxpayers could receive preference in getting medical treatment and other facilities.
He also asked Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to rename the Income Tax coffer as ‘Rashtriya Nirman Sahyog Nidhi’.

Zee Business panelist Vikas Sethi and Sumeet Bagadia both agreed with Anil Singhvi's suggestion that regular and timely taxpayers should get facilities as a reward for their contribution towards nation building.
Taxpayers are expecting some relief from the Budget 2023 as there were no changes in tax slabs and rate in the previous budget.
The Budget is scheduled to be presented by the finance minister on Wednesday, February 1 at 11 am. This will be Sitharaman's fifth straight budget and the last full budget of the Modi government ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
Like the previous two budgets, Union Budget 2023-24 will also be paperless. The Budget documents will be available on the "Union Budget Mobile App" on both the Android and Apple iOS platforms after the completion of the Budget Speech by the Finance Minister in the Parliament.
Viewers can catch the Live budget presentation for the fiscal year 2023-2024 on Sansad TV and Doordarshan. The live telecast will also be available on their YouTube channels. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) will also stream Budget 2023 on their online platforms.
