WPL 2023 UP Warriorz Players List: Team India all-rounder Deepti Sharma bagged a deal of Rs 2.6 crore in the inaugural Women's Premier League (WPL) Player Auction on Monday, February 13. She is the second-costliest Indian player so far and was bought by UP Warriorz.  

Till now, Smriti Mandhana has been the most expensive buy of the WPL 2023 auction. Royal Challengers Bangalore pipped Mumbai Indians in the bidding war to bag the Team India vice-captain for Rs 3.40 crore.

Some other players signed by UP Warriorz are England left-arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone, Australian all-rounder Tahlia McGrath, South Africa right-arm fast bowler Shabnim Ismail, and others.

The inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League is scheduled to be played in Mumbai from March 4 to 26. A total of 22 matches will be played at Mumbai's Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium.

The 2023 edition of the Women’s Premier League has a total of five teams. These are Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, RCB, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz. 

A total of 1525 players registered for the inaugural Women’s Premier League Player Auction & the final list was pruned to 409 players.
