WPL 2023 Royal Challengers Bangalore Players List: India vice-captain Smriti Mandhana bagged a deal of Rs 3.4 crore with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the inaugural Womens Premier League (WPL) Player Auction. From a base price of Rs 50 lakh, RCB and Mumbai Indians (MI) were locked in an intense battle for Smriti's services. RCB managed to get her in the team, offering an opening as well as a captaincy option.

WPL 2023 Royal Challengers Bangalore Coach

Australian Ben Swayer, currently in charge of the New Zealand women's team, has been appointed as head coach of RCB ahead of next month's WPL.

The 45-year-old Sawyer is also the current coach of Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred. He has also served as head coach of the Sydney Sixers in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) besides being assistant coach of Australia women.

WPL 2023 Date, Venue

The inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League is set to be played in Mumbai from March 4 to 26. A total of 22 matches will be played at Mumbai's Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium.

Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023: Total teams

The five teams are Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, RCB, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz. A total of 1525 players registered for the inaugural Women’s Premier League Player Auction & the final list was pruned to 409 players.
