The Indian team had an optional training session on Tuesday where all the fast bowlers were rested alongside all-rounder Hardik Pandya, batter Suryakumar Yadav and spinner Axar Patel.

It is understood that the after-practice menu is almost the same for all teams and Indian players are not being provided with hot food, which according to BCCI sources is a must after an intense training session.

Meanwhile, India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey has said that they are not thinking to give a rest to Hardik Pandya in the match against the Netherlands. Mhambrey praised Pandya and said he played a crucial role in a nail-biting match against Pakistan in T20 World Cup in Melbourne. Pandya bowled four overs at an average speed of close to 140 clicks since Axar Patel flopped badly.

"He (Hardik Pandya) is fit to play. We are not going to rest anyone," Mhambrey said during a press conference.

There were speculations that Panday may not play against a weaker side like the Netherlands as he suffered from cramps towards the end of the Indian run chase.

While leaving the mixed zone, Pandya was asked if his cramps were serious. "No, I don't think so. It might be because I have never run so many twos in a T20 International," he had replied
