IPL 2024 Released Players: Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) is all set for the mini-auction on Tuesday, December 19, in Dubai. Franchises, however, named the players they would release ahead of the auction on Sunday. With the end of the deadline for the release on Sunday, November 26, we now have a clear picture of the players franchises are releasing ahead of IPL 2024.

With a lot of big names getting released, it will be interesting to see how the teams will fill that void or how they can improve them. All-rounder Ben Stokes had been released by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as he withdrew his name from the tournament because of workload management. Ambati Raydu was also released by CSK as he had taken retirement after their win in the final of IPL 2023.

One of the most shocking releases was that of spinner Wanindu Hasaranga and pacer Josh Hazlewood by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Delhi Capitals (DC) also released some big names like Rilee Rossouw and Rovman Powell from their squad.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have released all of their experienced pacers, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Shardul Thakur, and Lockie Ferguson, which was also a very shocking move by the franchise. Mumbai's release of Jofra Archer, Hyderabad's release of Harry Brooks, and Rajasthan's release of Jason Holder were also not anticipated.
