The India vs Pakistan cricket match is one of the most sought-after cricket events in the world, and Pakistan playing in India is even rarer. Cricket fans across the world will get a chance to see both teams reportedly locking horns against each other at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahemedabad, on October 15, in an ICC Men's World Cup match.

A ESPNcricinfo report said that the opening match of the tournament will be played on October 5 between England and New Zealand, who also played a thrilling final at the 2019 World Cup.

However, India will open their campaign against Australia in Chennai on October 8.  

A ESPNcricinfo report said that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) sent the draft schedule to the International Cricket Committee (ICC), which then shared it with participating boards.

Though the draft reportedly doesn't have information about the venues for the semi-finals, which are likely to be played on November 15 and 16.

However, the final of the tournament will also be played in Ahemdabad, on November 19.

The report said that India will play their league matches at nine different venues.

Other than matches against Australia and Pakistan, India will meet Afghanistan in New Delhi (October 11), Bangladesh in Pune on October 19, New Zealand in Dharamsala on October 22, and England in Lucknow on October 29.

They will play against a qualifying team in Mumbai on November 2, against South Africa in Kolkata on November 5, while in Bengaluru against a qualifying team on November 11.

As per the report, Pakistan are scheduled to play at five venues.     

In the big-ticket matches, Australia and New Zealand will lock horns in Dharmasala on October 29, Australia will meet England in Ahmedabad on November 4, while New Zealand are to play South Africa in Pune on November 1.
