However intense the match might be, India has always come out on top whenever these two go head-to-head in the World Cups.

India has a blemish-free record in ODI World Cups — Pakistan has faced India seven times in the ICC Men's ODI World Cups and has lost all seven times. India has dominated their fierce opposition at any stage and at any pitch of the World Cups, with Pakistan unable to overcome this mental block.

The teams first met each other in 1992 at the Benson & Hedges World Cup in Sydney. India will be facing Pakistan for the eighth time in the ODI World Cups on Saturday, October 14, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
