However, before the start of the marquee event, the teams will be going against each other for some warm-up matches scheduled to be played between May 27 and June 1.

With just a few warm-up matches left to be played, Team India gears up for their turn to take the pitch, as they will be facing Bangladesh in the final warm-up game of the World Cup at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York.

It will be a great opportunity for both sides before the start of the tournament to understand what combination of the playing 11 will best suit the squads as they enter the main event.

India is already considered one of the favourite contenders for this year's T20 World Cup. With a side that has a good combination of both experienced and young players, India looks like a formidable force going into the tournament.

Led by a powerful hitter of the ball, Rohit Sharma, who made a century in his last T20I match against Afghanistan, India can go all guns blazing from the top. However, there is a lot of speculation about who will be pairing up with the Indian captain. On one hand, there is youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has impressed the cricket fraternity not just with his hitting prowess but also with his sensible batting in times of need, and on the other hand, it is India's batting mainstay Virat Kohli, who has been phenomenal with the bat whenever he opened. In this year's IPL, Kohli was awarded the orange cap for scoring the most runs this season, and he used to open the batting for Royal Challengers Bengaluru with Faf du Plessis.

However, these are just surface problems for the Indian team, as they also need to find a proper middle-order combination as they possess many options in that department.

In their bowling department, India is very strong in their spin department, with Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Yuzvendra Chahal at their disposal; however, their pace department seems to be a little weak, with just Jasprit Bumrah being the most reliable one. Both Arshdeep Singh and Mohd. Siraj had a below-average IPL season as they had been frequently leaking runs, with both players going above the 10+ economy rate. Additionally, vice-captain Hardik Pandya also had a very underwhelming season in the IPL with the ball.

Coming to the Bangladeshi side, the team is recently coming off a 2-1 series defeat against the USA, which has questioned their performance. Led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, the Bangladeshi side will look forward to making full use of the warm-up match against India to give them a much-needed boost going into the tournament.

The team can ride on the backs of some of their most experienced players, like Litton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan, Shak Mahedi Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, and Shoriful Islam, to get the desired result.
