India vs Bangladesh, World Cup 2023: Head-to-Head, Records and Stats in ODI World Cup
India vs Bangladesh Head-to-Head Record: India will be facing Bangladesh for the fifth time in the ODI World Cup on Thursday, October 19, at the MCA International Stadium in Pune.
India vs Bangladesh Head-to-Head: After a glorious win over their arch-rivals, Pakistan, India will be going against Bangladesh in their next fixture of the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 campaign. India is sitting at the top of the table after winning all three matches played so far. Bangladesh, on the other hand, has won just one of the three matches played, and it would be a herculean task for them to come away with a major upset.
But history has its tales. The first time Bangladesh faced India in the ODI World Cup was back in 2007 in the West Indies. Bangladesh beat the Indian side by five wickets — a setting of one of the biggest upsets in the history of Indian cricket. The Indian fans had a hard time coming to terms with the defeat and negative emotions, and they responded by burning effigies of the head coach and former Australian captain Greg Chappell.
But that's history. India has learnt from that mistake and has not once taken the Bangla Tigers lightly. Since then, the two sides have met three times, in which India has thrashed the Bangladesh side on all three occasions.
