India vs Bangladesh, 3rd ODI from Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram, India tour of Bangladesh 2022: India will hope to save some face by winning the third ODI after losing the three-match series 2-0 in Dhaka. Bangladesh won the first ODI in Dhaka by 1 wicket and the second ODI by 5 runs. And, India not only lost the match — but also lost the three-match series 2-0. And to add insult to injury, India even lost their skipper Rohit Sharma to a finger injury. In his place, KL Rahul will lead Team India in the 3rd ODI at Chattogram.

Rohit Sharma injury: Skipper Rohit Sharma out of Bangladesh Test series with finger dislocation; Chahar, Kuldeep out of 3rd ODI
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the third India vs Bangladesh ODI after sustaining finger dislocation in the second ODI. As per reports, he is also unlikely to feature in the two Test matches of the Bangladesh tour as well.
PTI reported that Team India captain will be "flying back home" to consult experts after sustaining the finger injury while fielding in the second ODI on Wednesday in Dhaka. Standing at second slip, Rohit was left with a bloodied hand when he dropped Anamul Haque off Mohammed Siraj in the fourth ball of the second over. He was escorted off the field by the team physio.
Head coach Rahul Dravid informed that Rohit will not be a part of the said after the team lost the second ODI and series to the home team. The coach also informed that injury prone pacer Deepak Chahar and rookie speedster Kuldeep Sen has been ruled out of the third ODI in Chattogram with hamstring and back injuries respectively.

Inspite of the injury, Rohit batted at the ninth position and tried to win the match for India with a bandaged hand. But, to add insult to injury, India lost by 5 runs despite of Rohit's innings of 51 runs off 28-ball.
