ZeeBiz takes you through some of the best knocks in Asia Cup history.

Virat Kohli (183 in Ind vs Pak in 2012)

Kohli proved his dominance and class with this knock against Pakistan in an Asia Cup ODI in Mirpur. Chasing 330 against Pakistan, India lost Gautam Gambhir in the first over when Kohli came to bat.

Kohli's knock of 183 runs in 148 balls with 22 boundaries and a six whitewashed Paksitan's expectations of scoring a victory. Courtesy Kohli's brilliant knock, India chased down the mammoth target in just 47.5 overs with six wickets in hand.

Mushfiqur Rahman (144 in BAN vs SL in 2018)

It was one of the finest knocks in the Asia Cup that came from the bat of the Bangladeshi batsman. In a league match in Dubai, Bangladesh were three wickets down for 2 runs when Rahman pulled them out of dire straits.

His 144 runs in 150 balls with 11 fours and four sixes and a 132-run fourth-wicket partnership with Mohammad Mithun guided his team to post 261 runs.

Bangladesh won the match by 137 runs.

Shoaib Malik (143 in IND sv PAK in 2004)

Malik's 143-run knock against India in the 2004 Asia Cup in Colombo is arguably his best knock.

He looked in control from the word go and top scored for his team with a 127-ball 143 innings, which was decorated with 8 boundaries and a six.

His innings helped Pakistan post 300 for nine in 50 overs. Pakistan won the match by 59 runs.

Mohammad Shahzad (124 in AFG vs IND in 2018)

Shahdzad's most memorable knock in his career came in a match against India in Dubai, when the opener posted an outstanding 124 in 116 balls.

His innings of 11 boundaries and 7 sixes was a treat to watch. With an equally courageous 56-ball 64 knock from Mohammad Nabi in the lower order, Afghanistan scored 252 for 8.

The match ended in a tie against eventual champions India.

Shikhar Dhawan (114 in IND vs PAK in 2018)

It was a carnage of a Pakistani bowling attack by Dhawan.

Playing in a league match in Dubai, India restricted Pakistan to 237 for 7.

In reply, both India openers, Rohit Sharma and Dhawan, scored breathtaking centuries.

Dhawan was the more aggressive of the two. His knock of 114 in 100 balls had 16 fours and two sixes.

The duo weaved 220 runs for the opening wicket partnership before Dhawan was run out. India won the match by nine wickets.
