ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Most Sixes and Fours: There is no doubt that this year's World Cup has witnessed some big scores and some big chases. The fans enjoyed some great run-fests in most of the matches. Batters hitting the balls left, right, and centre escalated the excitement of fans not only in the stadiums but also in their homes. A total of 2138 fours have been hit so far in this World Cup, with a whopping 611 sixes.

10. Aiden Markram, South Africa

Markram has 42 fours to his name in the nine innings he has played so far.

9. Mitch Marsh, Australia

The Australian had given some good starts as an opener to the Australian batting in the absence of Travis Head. He has hit 42 fours in his eight innings played.

8. Pathum Nissanka, Sri Lanka

Nissanka has been one of the most consistent batters in the Lankan side, despite some poor performances by the whole team. He smashed 44 fours in nine innings played.

7. David Warner, Australia

The explosive Australian opener has to be on this list. Warner has hit 48 fours in nine innings in the tournament. 

6. Dawid Malan, England

Despite England's poor World Cup performance, opener Dawid Malan makes the list with 50 fours in nine innings.

5. Devon Conway, New Zealand

Conway hasn't been a consistent opener for the Kiwis, but in his days he has smashed the ball hard. And it shows in his 51 fours in nine innings.

4. Rachin Ravindra, New Zealand

The new kid in the block has been a stellar inclusion on the Kiwi side, and he has proved his mettle by smashing 52 fours in nine innings.

3. Quinton de Kock, South Africa

The Proteas opener has been on a roll so far, smashing the highest number of centuries in the edition of the World Cup with four. This feat came with the help of his 57 fours in nine innings.

2. Rohit Sharma, India

The Indian skipper has been on an all-out attack since the start of the tournament, giving some great starts to the Indian side. He has smashed a total of 62 fours in 10 innings so far. 

1. Virat Kohli, India

Undoubtedly the best batter in the Indian squad and is also considerably in the world at the moment. It was no surprise that Virat Kohli tops the list with 64 fours in his 10 innings.

10. Daryl Mitchell, New Zealand

The Kiwi middle-order batter has been a powerhouse for the squad, smashing 15 sixes in his eight innings.

9. Rachin Ravindra, New Zealand

This youngster is on fire at the moment. Ravindra is the most consistent batter for the Kiwis, smashing 17 sixes in nine innings. 

8. Heinrich Klaasen, South Africa

The middle-order live wire of the South African side, Heinrich Klaasen, has smashed 17 sixes in nine innings so far. 

7. Fakhar Zaman, Pakistan

The lack of Fakhar Zaman on the Pakistani side was evident in the tournament. The opener just played four innings and smashed 18 sixes.

6. David Warner, Australia

The leading run scorer for the Aussies, Warner, has been an explosive batter at the top with 20 sixes in his nine innings so far.

5. Mitch Marsh, Australia

Mitch Marsh has provided some good innings along with Warner in the absence of Travis Head. He has smashed 20 sixes in eight innings so far.

The most consistent South African batter in this World Cup campaign, de Kock, has smashed 21 sixes in his nine innings so far.

3. Glenn Maxwell, Australia

Glenn Maxwell has played an immortal inning of 201 runs, not out, to steer his side to victory against Afghanistan. 10 of his sixes came in this innings only. Overall, he has smashed 22 sixes in seven innings played. 

2. Shreyas Iyer, India

Iyer has been a backbone to the Indian middle order in this World Cup, smashing back-to-back centuries with a century in the semi-final against New Zealand. He smashed 24 sixes in his 10 innings. 

1. Rohit Sharma, India

The hitman has done his job right. He smashed 28 sixes in this World Cup in 10 innings. This is the most number of sixes smashed in a single World Cup campaign. Sharma also broke the record for the most sixes hit in the World Cups overtaking Chris Gayle with 50 sixes.
