Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz won the Wimbledon title on Sunday, July 17, after defeating Novak Djokovic. Starting with a low performance, Alcaraz edged Djokovic in the fourth round and prevented Djokovic from claiming a record eighth title and fifth in a row at the grass-court tournament. The major victory registered by Alcaraz after defeating a more experienced and almost double-aged Djokovic has earned Alcaraz the No. 1 position on the Pepperstone ATP Ranking. 

With this victory, Alcaraz has now become the third youngest player after Boris Beck and Martina Hingis to win the Wimbledon Championships.
