Favourite teams from both groups have made it to the next stage. While India and Pakistan from Group A have moved into the Super 4s, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka from Group B have also advanced to the next stage.

Fans couldn't witness the thrilling encounters they were expecting in group-stage matches. The high-octane match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan was curtailed because of the rain, and most other matches did not have many edge-of-the-sit moments. However, fans did get a share of the thrill courtesy of the last group-stage match between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in Lahore on Tuesday, September 5, as Afghanistan came closer to qualify for the Super 4s before Sri Lanka bowled out their team two runs short of the qualifying target.

Going into the Super 4s, fans are hopeful that this stage would provide the excitement that the group stage was expected to deliver. India will start their Super 4 campaign by facing Pakistan in the Super 4s on Sunday, September 10, in Colombo.
