India vs Sri Lanka 1st ODI Cricket Score LIVE Updates; IND vs SL Scorecard; IND v SL LIVE Streaming: Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka waged a lone battle and remained not out at 108 runs, while wickets fell around him and the visitors fell short of India's target of 374 runs by 67 runs. His knock was overshadowed by Virat Kohli's winning effort, who brought up his 45th ODI ton as India scored a commanding 373 runs after losing 7 wickets in their stipulated 50 overs in the first ODI at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday.

Openers Rohit Sharma (83) and Shubman Gill (70) set the tone for India as the hosts set a target of 374 runs for Sri Lanka.

EARLIER:

Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka won the toss and opted to field first. Team India skipper Rohit Sharma has opted to play KL Rahul as the wicket-keeper-batsman forcing in-form youngster Ishan Kishan to sit out.

Old guards — skipper Rohit Sharma, batsmen Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, alongwith seasoned pacer Mohd Shami make their comeback into the side for the first of the three-match ODI series begining today. There is, however, some bad news for the hosts as pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah will yet again miss the action as he has failed to recover completely from the stress fracture in the lower back, which has seen him miss several assignments including the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup.
