He shot 16 boundaries and eight sixes to help RR pile up a good total of 212 for 7 in 20 overs against MI on Sunday.

He jumped to the top spot with an aggregate of 428 runs in nine matches. He has the average of 47.56 and a strike rate of 159.70.

After his knock of 124, he is six runs ahead of Royal Challenger Bangalore's explosive batsman Faf fu Plessis, who now has 422 runs from eight matches. 

In-form Devon Conway jumped to the third spot on Sunday after his best knock in IPL 2023, 92 runs not out in 52 balls against Punjab Kings on Sunday. He has 414 runs from nine matches.    

Conway's teammate, Ruturaj Gaikwad, played a knock of 37 runs against Punjab today to jump to the fourth place in the Orange Cap race. Gaikwad has 354 runs from nine matches. 

Gaikwad is closely chased by RCB's ex-skipper Virat Kohli, who is in fifth position with 333 runs in eight matches.

Gujarat Titans' Shubman Gill also has 333 runs from eight matches, but he is in sixth spot since Kohli's average (47.57) is better than him (41.63)
