IPL Auction 2024: Moments after Australian World Cup-winning captain Pat Cummins became the costliest player in IPL history, his compatriot Mitchell Starc took up the baton from him. Starc was sold for Rs 24.75 crore after an intense bidding war between Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans. Starc started at a base price of Rs 2.00 crore and was scoped by Kolkata Knight Riders at the end at the record-breaking price.

Yuvraj Singh still holds the record for the most expensive Indian player at Rs 16 crore, when he was sold to Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2015. The auction is being held at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.
