SRH shattered all the records at the start of the IPL Auction 2024 when they brought Pat Cummins for a record Rs 20.50 crore, making him the most expensive player in IPL history. However, the tale was shortlived as his compatriot Mitchell Starc was acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 24.75 crore, breaking the record for the most expensive player.

SRH did manage to get some big names at bargain prices, with the likes of Travis Head brought in for Rs 6.80 crore and Wanindu Hasaranga for just Rs 1.50 crore. SRH has brought in three Indian players and three foreign players and filled 25 of the slots available to them.

The squad looks quite strong so far, and it will be quite interesting to see how they line up for IPL 2024. SRH will be captained by Aiden Markram, and they have Daniel Vettori as their head coach.
