Tamil Nadu Budget 2023: Tamil Nadu Finance Minister (FM) Palanivel Thiaga Rajan tabled the budget for the financial year 2023-24 in the assembly. The budget speech began at 10 am today, 20 March. FM told the assembly that the state's revenue deficit was reduced by Rs 30,000 crore in FY 2023-24 from Rs 62,000 crore in the last financial year. An announcement regarding a welfare programme is made to grant monthly assistance of Rs 1,000 to women heads of families this session, as Chief Minister M.K. Stalin also said last month during his campaign for the by-poll to the Erode (East) Assembly constituency. Tamil Nadu government announced to set up Tech City in Chennai, Coimbatore and Hosur to address the growing demand for infrastructure requirements during Tamil Nadu Budget 2023.
