Meghalaya Elections 2023: PM Modi to address rally in Tura, hold roadshow in Shillong
Meghalaya Election 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in a roadshow in Tura in western Meghalaya on Friday in support of BJP candidates for the February 27 state assembly elections.
PM Modi Rally In Meghalaya: Days before Meghalaya votes to elect a ew government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the state to address a rally. According to a Tweet shared by BJP's Meghalaya unit, PM will also hold a roadshow at as a part of the election campaign in Shillong where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hopes to secure a large vote share. He will also meet the party's state unit leaders.
BJP Meghalaya chief Ernest Mawrie said that the Prime Minister will participate in a roadshow in the Khyndailad area in the heart of the city and will address the people after paying floral tributes to three freedom fighters of the state – U Tirot Sing, U Kiang Nangbah and Pa Togan Sangma.
The Prime Minister was to address a rally at the PA Sangma Sports Complex funded by the Centre at a cost of over Rs 120 crore but the sports department had denied permission citing safety concerns.
