Manish Sisodia to be prosecuted in snooping case as MHA gives go-ahead
The Ministry of Home Affairs has given sanction to prosecute Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia under the Prevention of Corruption Act in the alleged 'Feedback Unit' (FBU) snooping case, news agency ANI reported.

Following the MHA's sanction to the CBI, Sisodia said the more AAP will grow, the more cases will be filed against its leaders.
"Filing cases against one's rivals is a sign of a weak and coward person. The more AAP will grow, the more cases will be filed against us," Sisodia said in a tweet in Hindi.

Earlier, Lt Governor VK Saxena had forwarded a recommendation of CBI to the President through the Ministry of Home Affairs for the registration of a case against Sisodia after an enquiry into the creation and working of the FBU.

The probe agency had sought sanction to register an FIR against Sisodia who heads the Delhi government's Vigilance department. The agency in a preliminary enquiry report had alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party government created the unit in 2015 after it won the Assembly elections to spy on ministries, departments, opposition leaders, political parties and others.
