Maharashtra Cabinet Expansion: Nearly two weeks after Ajit Pawar took oath as Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, he received the charge of the state's finance and planning ministry on Friday. Pawar and eight other NCP leaders broke away from the Sharad Pawar-founded party and were sworn-in as ministers on July 2. Here are the details of the portfolios they received in Friday's Cabinet expansion —

As per a statement issued by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's office, Pawar was briefed by two secretaries of the Finance and Planning Department before the the official announcement of the portfolios.

His new office will be on the fifth floor of Mantralaya which will also serve as the office of the deputy chief minister.

According to the statement by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's office, Dhananjay Munde has been given Agriculture, while Dilip Walse-Patil will be the new Cooperation minister.

The other NCP ministers with their allocated ministries are Hasan Mushrif - who will take charge as the Medical Education minister, former deputy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal - who will take charge as minister of Food and Civil Supplies, Dharmrao Atram - who got Food and Drugs Administration portfolio, Sanjay Bansode - who will take charge as Sports minister, Aditi Tatkare was named Woman and Child Development minister and Anil Patil was named Relief, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management minister.
