Karnataka Elections 2023: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday promised allocation of Rs one crore for each village panchayat, and Rs 5,000 crore for the Kalyana Karnataka region if his party is voted to power in the May 10 State Assembly polls.
The campaign for Karnatake elections is in full swing with the main challenger Congress party promising allocation of Rs one crore for each village panchayat, and Rs 5,000 crore for the Kalyana Karnataka region, while BJP leader Amit Saha attacked Congress over Kharge's 'venomous snake' barb.

Training guns on the Congress over its President M Mallikarjun Kharge's 'venomous snake' barb at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said the party and its leaders have lost their mind.
Noting that Modi is welcomed across the world with a lot of respect, he said the Congress cannot instigate people with such statements, because the support for the Prime Minister will increase, as much as they abuse him. “Congress President Kharge says our leader Modi, whom the whole world respects and welcomes, is like a venomous snake. I want to ask you, can you make the Congress party, which has compared Modi to a venomous snake, victorious in the election?,” added Shah.

The former Congress chief also promised to set up an apparel park in Ballari with an investment of Rs 5,000 crore.

The incident occurred when someone in the crowd reportedly pelted stones at him. As per the health officer of primary health centre in Akkirampura, he is out of danger. He has been shifted to Sri Siddhartha Medical College at Tumakuru.
5. Cong. Candidate Laxmi Hebbalkar pitches for women CM or deputy CM
Congress leader Laxmi Hebbalkar, who is contesting from Belagavi (Rural) assembly segment, on Friday said it is not easy for women to rapidly climb the political ladder but wished to see a woman chief minister or deputy chief minister in Karnataka in near future.
Hebbalkar is contesting for the second time to retain her home turf in the May 10 Assembly polls in the state. Interestingly. Her political rival, BJP's Ramesh Jarkiholi -- who is contesting from Gokak constituency -- is trying to ensure her defeat.
