The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released the list of its star campaigners today (April 19, 2023) for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections 2023. The list has the names like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai among others. A total of 40-star campaigners will contest for election in Karnataka, scheduled for May 10.

On Monday, 17 April, BJP released its third list of 10 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections 2023. In its third list, the party has fielded BJP MLA Aravind Limbavali's wife Manjula Aravind Limbavali from Mahadevapura. However, the second list of 23 candidates was announced on 12 April with seven sitting MLAs replaced with new candidates.

Among Legislators who have been denied a ticket include C M Nimbannavar from Kalghatgi constituency. Nimbannavar has been replaced by Congress rebel Nagaraj Chabbi from Kalghatgi seat. The other candidates were Haveri MLA Nehru Olekar; S A Ravindranath (MLA from Davangere North); Linganna (Mayakonda), Madal Virupakshappa (Channagiri); Sukumar Shetty (Baindur); and M P Kumaraswamy (Mudigere).
