Himachal Pradesh Una Result 2022: BJP's Satpal Singh Satti defeated Satpal Singh Raizada of the Indian National Congress by a margin of over 33000 votes. Satpal Singh Satti won with 33423 votes while Satpal Singh Raizada is in the second spot with 31867 votes.

The candidates contesting from the Una Assembly constituency were Ramesh Chand(BSP), Satpal Singh Raizada(INC), Satpal Singh Satti (BJP) and Rajiv Gautam (AAP). Independent candidates Kamal Kumar and Chander Mohan are also in the fray.

Una constituency

Una is constituency number forty-four of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Una is one of the five Assembly seats of Himachal's Una district apart from Chintpurni, Gagret, Haroli and Kutlehar. It is one of the seventeen Assembly seats that make up the Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency and is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs) or Scheduled Tribes (STs).

Congress leader Satpal Singh Raizada defeated BJP's Sat Pal Singh Satti by 3,196 votes in 2017.

Himachal Pradesh 2022

The counting of votes for the Himachal Pradesh polls, along with Gujarat and some assembly and one Lok Sabha by-election, commenced at 8 am today i.e. December 8. The result is being announced almost a month after voting was held in a single phase on November 12. The state Assembly has 68 seats and the majority mark is 35. However, the exit polls predicted a hung Assembly in the state.

The main contenders in the Himachal Pradesh election 2022 are- the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and the Congress. In the 2017 assembly elections, the BJP won 44 seats and the Congress bagged 21 seats, with one seat going to the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M), and two to independent candidates. Jai Ram Thakur has been the BJP Chief Minister in the hill state since 2017.
