Haryana Assembly Elections 2024: Ahead of the Haryana Assembly polls, the Congress on Wednesday announced seven guarantees if voted to power.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge launched the promises in the presence of  Haryana Congress chief Udai Bhan, former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and AICC senior observers for the Haryana polls Ashok Gehlot, Ajay Maken and Partap Singh Bajwa.

Haryana Assembly Elections: Congress Announces 7 Guarantees 

1. Prosperity for Families 

- 300 units of free electricity

- Free medical treatment up to Rs 25 lakh

2. Empowerment for Women 

- Rs 2000 every month

- Gas cylinder at ₹500

3. Secured Future for Youth 

- Recruitment for 2 lakh vacant posts

- Drug-free Haryana initiative

4. Strengthening Social Security 

- Rs 6000 old-age pension

- Rs 6000 handicap pension

- Rs 6000 widow pension

- Restoration of Old Pension Scheme (OPS)

5. Rights for Backward Classes 

- Conducting a caste census

- Increasing creamy layer limit to Rs 10 lakh

6. Prosperity for Farmers  

- Legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP)

- Immediate crop compensation

7. Housing for the Poor 

- 100-yard plot

- 2-room house costing Rs 3.5 lakh
