Delhi Minister Raaj Kumar Anand Resigns: The Aam Aadmi Party has claimed the resignation of Delhi minister Raaj Kumar Anand vindicated its stand that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's arrest was aimed at finishing the party.
Delhi Minister Raaj Kumar Anand Resigns: Delhi Minister Raaj Kumar Anand has resigned from the Cabinet and quit the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Raaj Kumar Anand, who was holding various portfolios in the AAP government, while resigning alleged that there was no Dalit among the top leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
"This party doesn't respect Dalit MLAs, councillors and ministers. In such circumstances, all Dalits feel cheated. We live in an inclusive society, but it is not wrong to talk about proportion. It is difficult for me to remain in the party with all these things, hence I am resigning from the post," Anand was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

- Announcing his resignation, Anand said, "The Aam Aadmi Party is embroiled in corruption. Given the situation, it has become difficult for me to stay in this party. That is why through your medium I want to convey that I am resigning from this party and my minister's post."
- Asked whether he would join any political party, Anand replied: "I will not go anywhere."
- The Aam Aadmi Party has claimed the resignation of Delhi minister Raaj Kumar Anand vindicated its stand that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's arrest was aimed at finishing the party.
- AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh alleged that the BJP was using the ED and the CBI to "break our ministers and MLAs."
- Singh also asked his party workers not to be scared or feel demotivated by the resignation. He claimed that Anand would soon join the BJP and added that it is the same party that once called him corrupt "when a raid was conducted against him by the Enforcement Directorate (ED)".
- Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj claimed that Anand may have been threatened to quit AAP. "People will think we now hate Raaj Kumar bhai, that we consider him as a traitor. We will not say any such thing.
- On the other hand, the BJP has alleged that Delhi Minister Raaj Kumar Anand has exposed the AAP's “involvement” in corruption.
- “Today their party leader and minister exposed the involvement of the Aam Aadmi Party in corruption with his resignation,” BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh told reporters, reacting to Anand's resignation.
- A Masters of Arts (political science) from Bundelkhand University, Anand actively participated in the 'India Against Corruption' in 2011 under "influence" of Kejriwal.
- Anand joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) founded by Kejriwal and other leaders of the anti-corruption movement in 2012.
