An election commission official from Madhya Pradesh said that the state has witnessed a record 77.82 per cent voting, which is 2.19 per cent more than the voting in the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections.
Madhya Pradesh's chief election commissioner Anupam Rajan said that out of 77.82 per cent, 77.15 per cent voting had been done through EVM and the rest through postal ballet.
The Madhya Pradesh election commission official said that there were 4,369 tables to count EVM votes while 692 tables had been put to count postal ballets.

Weighing in on the BJP's prospects of returning to power in Madhya Pradesh, BJP leader and former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Saturday said while the Congress worked hard to bring about a change of guard at the helm, the BJP is in with a better chance of winning the state elections.
"Prime Minister Narendra is doing great work, which is impacting the country's aspirational and educated youth positively.
"The central government is doing good work and the BJP-ruled states are doing likewise. Our government in Uttar Pradesh is also putting in an enviable effort in the service of the people. However, some people here ask why bulldozers (against criminals and history-sheeters) are not being used in Madhya Pradesh (like UP). To them, I would say it isn't a government policy and they are used only when required," Mahajan told ANI.
