- The highest number of votes was polled by AAP’s Gagan Choudhary from Jharoda – 24,626
- The highest victory margin (17,134) was recorded by AAP’s Aaley Mohammed Iqbal from Chandni Mahal. Iqbal garnered 19,199 votes, while his nearest competitor, Mohammed Hamid of Congress, polled only 2,065 votes
- The lowest victory margin was also recorded by AAP. Ashu Thakur, the AAP candidate from Chittaranjan Park defeated her nearest rival, BJP’s Kanchan Bhadana Choudhary, by only 44 votes. Thakur received 10,443 votes and Choudhary 10,399
- AAP’s Bobi became the first transgender councillor in MCD, winning from Sultanpuri-A by 6,714 votes. She received 14,821 votes, while her nearest rival, Varuna Dhaka of Congress, polled 8,107 votes

Delhi MCD Election Result 2022: AAP crosses majority mark of 126 in MCD polls
The Aam Aadmi Party has crossed the majority mark of 126 in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls, while the BJP has got 97, the latest State Election Commission figures show.
According to numbers available at 2 pm, the AAP has won 130 seats and was ahead in four. The MCD has 250 wards and the simple majority mark is 126.
The BJP, which exit polls predicted would suffer a massive defeat, put up a spirited fight, winning 99 wards and leading in four. The Congress was lagging far behind, winning just seven seats.
Three Independent candidates, including Shakeela Begum from Seelampur in northeast Delhi, have also won.

The Congress was a distant third after winning five wards while Independent candidate Shakila won in Seelampur.
The MCD has 250 wards and the simple majority mark is 126.
Congress' Shagufta Chaudhary won in Chauhan Banger, while AAP's transgender candidate Bobi won from Sultanpuri-A defeating her Congress' Varuna Dhaka by over 6,700 votes.
The counting of votes polled in the December 4 elections started at 8 am.

There were 272 wards in Delhi and three corporations -- NDMC, SDMC and EDMC -- in Delhi from 2012-2022, before being reunified into an MCD that had formally come into existence on May 22. According to data shared by the SEC on Monday, 51.03 per cent of the male voters exercised their franchise while 49.83 per cent of female electorate voted in the crucial civic polls.
Barring a few stray incidents of MCC (model code of conduct) violations and "a couple of other scattered incidents of impersonation", the polling remained peaceful and no untoward incident of any kind was reported from anywhere, the SEC said in a statement on Sunday night.
This year, the highest polling percentage (65.72) has been recorded in ward no. 5 (Bakhtawarpur), while the lowest (33.74 per cent) was registered in ward no.145 (Andrews Ganj).
In the 2017 civic election, the BJP had won 181 of the 270 wards. Polling could not be held on two seats due to the death of candidates. The AAP had won 48 wards and the Congress 27. The voting percentage that year was around 53.

Tight security arrangements have been made at all the centres with with 20 companies of Central Armed Police Forces and more than 10,000 police personnel deployed for the day at the centres, police officials said.
The centres are located in areas, including, Shastri Park, Yamuna Vihar, Mayur Vihar, Nand Nagari, Dwarka, Okhla, Mangolpuri, Pitampura, Alipur and Model Town.
