N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, announced the news on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). In the wake of his passing, numerous prominent persons, including politicians and Bollywood celebrities, expressed their condolences and shared their tributes to this legendary individual.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has declared a day of mourning in the state on Thursday to pay tributes to him.
