World Children’s Day, Universal Children's Day 2022: According to the United Nations (UN), World Children’s Day is celebrated on 20 November. First established in 1954 as Universal Children's Day, it is celebrated each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare.

The date 20 November marks the day on which the Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, in 1959, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, in 1989.
