Train Derailment: Dadar-Porbandar Saurashtra Express derailed while departing from Kim station in Surat
Western Railway chief public relations officer Vineet Abhishek said that four wheels of the non-passenger coach next to the engine derailed at 3.32 pm when the train (number 19015) was leaving the station to go to Porbandar.
Train 19015 Dadar-Porbandar Saurashtra Express derailed at 15.32 hrs on Tuesday (December 24, 2024) while departing from the Kim station in Surat, Gujarat.
Restoration work was underway and senior officials were monitoring the work at the site.
"There is no injury or damage to any passenger or railway employee on board the train. Normal movement of trains has not been affected," says a railway official.

He said that there was no injury or damage to any passenger or railway employee during the incident. He said that due to the availability of additional loop line, the movement of trains on the route has not been affected.
