‘Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai’ YouTube sensation Devraj Patel dies in road accident
Devraj Patel, the young and talented YouTuber and comedian known for his viral catchphrase "Dil se Bura Lagta hai," tragically lost his life in a road accident in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The accident occurred when Patel was riding pillion on a motorcycle and brushed against a truck, resulting in fatal injuries.
In a heartbreaking incident, Devraj Patel, the young and talented YouTuber, known widely for his viral catchphrase "Dil se Bura Lagta hai," tragically lost his life in a road accident in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Patel, a blooming star in the world of YouTube and comedy, was just 22 years old at the time of his death.
The accident happened while Patel was riding as a pillion on a motorcycle that unfortunately brushed against a truck. The sheer force of the impact caused Patel to fall under the rear wheel of the truck. The accident resulted in severe and fatal injuries, including significant trauma to the head. Patel was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Hailing from Chhattisgarh, Patel rose to stardom with his humor-laced content, which endeared him to a vast and growing fanbase. Notably, he had collaborated with prominent YouTubers like Bhuvan Bam and made a remarkable appearance in Bhuvan Bam's widely acclaimed web series 'Dhindora'. His online presence extended beyond YouTube and into the realms of other social media platforms as well, with a significant number of followers on Instagram.
On YouTube, Patel enjoyed the loyalty of around 4,40,000 subscribers, who eagerly awaited his uploads.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed his condolences, recognising Patel's contributions and talent. Baghel also shared a nostalgic video recalling their interaction and lauded Patel's unparalleled talent.
"Devraj Patel, who made his place among crores of people with 'Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai', who made us all laugh, left us today. The loss of amazing talent at this young age is very sad. May God give strength to his family and loved ones to bear this loss. Om Shanti,” CM Baghel wrote on Twitter.

In the aftermath of the accident, the driver of the truck involved in the incident was detained. Charges of causing death due to negligence were later pressed against him and he was arrested by Raipur police. The accident did not result in any injuries on Patel's friend, Rakesh Manhar, who was riding the motorcycle.
