Solar Eclipse April 2023: A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon eclipses the Sun.
Solar Eclipse April 2023: This year will witness four eclipses, among which two will be solar eclipses. The solar eclipse, also known as Surya Grahan, is one of the most significant celestial events. An eclipse is a phenomenon in which the Sun is blocked by the Moon, i.e. a solar eclipse, and the Earth's shadow obscures the Moon in a lunar eclipse. The first solar eclipse of 2023 will occur on April 20.
A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon eclipses the Sun. This means that the Moon, as it orbits the Earth, comes in between the Sun and the Earth, thereby blocking the Sun and preventing any sunlight from reaching us. There are four types of solar eclipses– partial solar eclipse, annular solar eclipse, total solar eclipse, and hybrid solar eclipse.

The first solar eclipse of the year will take place on April 20, 2023. As per astrology, it will occur in Aries and Ashwini Nakshatra. The first solar eclipse will start at 7:04 am and end at 12:29 pm.
Solar Eclipse April 2023: Will there be a Sutak Kaal?
As the Solar Eclipse will not be visible in India, there won’t be a Sutak Kaal—an inauspicious time before Surya Grahan and Chandra Grahan.
Solar eclipse April 2023: Where will it be visible?
Australia, the Pacific Ocean, East and South Asia, Antarctica, and the Indian Ocean will witness the solar eclipse.
Solar Eclipse April 2023: Next solar eclipse
The second solar eclipse of the year will take place on October 14. Just like the first one, this too will not be visible in India.
