Salaar's Box Office Collection on its first day, coinciding with the Christmas release, has surpassed Dunky's performance. The movie, which received an outstanding response in advance bookings, has shattered earning records in the South and performed well in the Hindi belt despite facing competition from Shahrukh Khan's Dunky, released on December 21.

Salaar has accumulated a total of Rs 95 crore across all languages on the opening day, with the majority of earnings coming from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, totaling Rs 70 crore. Karnataka contributed Rs 12 crore, while the Hindi version earned Rs 15.75 crore.

Trade analyst Sumit Kadel reported that Salaar's Hindi version had occupancy rates of 24.23% in the morning, 26.34% in the afternoon, 30.30% in the evening, and 49.84% in the night show on the first day. Meanwhile, Dunky's earnings declined on the second day, collecting Rs 20.5 crore with a 29.79% decrease.

The total two-day collection for Dunky stands at Rs 49.7 crore, including Rs 30 crore in India and Rs 58 crore worldwide on the first day. Kadel predicts a 40 to 50 percent growth for Dunky on Saturday, potentially reaching Rs 29 to 30 crore.

Salaar, directed by Prashant Neel of KGF fame, stars Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Dunky, on the other hand, features Shahrukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover in key roles.
