Looking at the fantastic collection of the film in initial days, its direct competition is being seen with the most successful film of this year, Jawan, which had Shah Rukh Khan in lead.

Animal Box Office Collection: Direct competition with Jawan-Pathan

Shah Rukh Khan, who was away from the box office for a long time, has released two films (Pathan-Jawaan) this year. Both these films have performed well at the box office. While Pathan had collected Rs 161 crore on the first day, Jawan had collected Rs 180.45 crore on the first three days. In such a situation, Animal has openly challenged both of them with its collection of Rs 176.58 crore.

Animal Box Office Collection: Damage from Sam Bahadur
If two big films are released simultaneously at the box office, both films suffer losses to some extent from each other. Animal suffered a similar loss when it was released with Vicky Kaushal's film Sam Bahadur. Taran Adarsh says that if Ranbir Kapoor's Animal had been released alone and had got more shows, the film would have easily broken the first three-day record of Shahrukh Khan's Jawan.

The film is popular in South India also

Not only in Hindi heartland, the response of audience for Animal is quite good in South India also. In the South Indian market, the film has collected Rs 25.18 crore in three days. Animal collected Rs 9.05 crore on Friday, Rs 8.90 crore on Saturday, and Rs 7.23 crore on Sunday. With this, the film has earned Rs 201.76 crore in the first three days in all languages.
