Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unfold the national flag for the 11th consecutive Independence Day on Thursday, the centrepiece annual event at which he will lay out his government's agenda, present its report card, make important policy and program announcements, and speak about pressing issues.

Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu will address the country on the eve of the 78th Independence Day, Wednesday, at 7 PM.
