OYO founder Ritesh Agarwal invites PM Modi to his wedding

Ritesh Agarwal, the founder and CEO of OYO Rooms, has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his wedding. The 29-year-old entrepreneur, accompanied by his mother and fiancée, met PM Modi recently in Delhi to extend a formal invitation.

''With the blessings of Pradhan Mantri @narendramodi ji, we are all set for a new beginning. Words cannot express the warmth with which he received us. My mother, who is inspired by his vision for women's empowerment & Geet, from Express(Uttar) Pradesh, was heartened to meet him," Ritesh Agarwal wrote on Twitter while sharing the pictures.

Reports say that the wedding will be followed by a reception in Delhi.

Ritesh founded OYO Rooms, a hospitality chain, in 2013. Born in 1993 to a Marwari family in Odisha, Ritesh completed his schooling at St. Johns Senior Secondary School with a science stream and moved to Delhi in 2011. He dropped college to pursue entrepreneurship and was accepted into the Thiel Fellowship Program. 

He is one of the country’s youngest billionaires. 

Ritesh Agarwal recently shared that OYO is the biggest hospitality platform in Indonesia. There are over 2,500 exclusive OYO hotels available across over 180 cities.

OYO operates in a total of 800 cities in 80 countries. This hospitality chain is considered one of the fastest-growing hotel franchises in the world. The company has also ventured into other businesses such as OYO Living, OYO Money and OYO Captain to ensure a seamless travel experience for its customers.
