Dhoni joining BJP: Former India captain MS Dhoni has become the talk of the town as a photo of the captain cool with India's Home Minister Amit Shah has gone viral on the internet on Saturday. In the viral photo, the skipper of Chennai Super Kings can be seen shaking hands with the home minister. 

Since the photo is doing rounds on internet, this makes the netizens wonder if the former captain is joining BJP, as per Zee Network. The fans unable to keep calm, taking the internet by storm about speculation – is Dhoni joining BJP? 

However, no official statement has come either from Mahendra Singh Dhoni or from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP). 

The viral picture is from an event that marked the 75th anniversary of India Cements, which is owned by former BCCI (Board of Control For Cricket in India) President N Srinivasan, who also owns the Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings team of the IPL (Indian Premier League). 

Along with Dhoni and Shah, the governor of Tamil Nadu RN Ravi also attended the event. Home Minister Shah flew from New Delhi to Chennai to attend the function. L. Murugan, the state president of the BJP, and other top BJP leaders welcomed him at the airport, Zee News reported.

It should be noted that Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the brand ambassador of India Cements.

MS Dhoni is India's most successful captain with a record of winning the most ICC trophies. The wicketkeeper-batsman led India to victories in the 50-over World Cup in 2011 at home, the T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2007, and the Champions Trophy in 2013 in England.
