Noida Metro Republic Day Offer: The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will be offering free metro cards to commuters on the occassion of Republic Day. As per the notification, the free metro card will be offered from January 26, Republic Day, to February 4.

In order to avoid crowds at the ticket counter, Noida Metro has also decided to install ticket vending machines at Aqua Line Stations, where commuters will be able to buy Metro tickets using a QR code.

Noida Metro Card Minimum Balance

NMRC has also increased the minimum balance needed to enter the metro station using metro cards. 

The minimum balance has been increased from Rs 10 to Rs 50.

Noida Metro: How to recharge metro card

Noida Metro passengers can follow these steps to pay online and instantly recharge their metro cards —
 
Step 1:  Enter the amount and card information.
 
Step 2: Secure pay through payment modes (Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/Wallet).
 
Step 3: Visit the AVMs installed at all DMRC Metro Stations (Including Airport Express Line) near EFO(Excess Fare Office)/Customer Care.
 
 

Noida Metro: How to recharge through SMS  

ICICI account users can also recharge their cards with the SMS facility. 

Send an SMS on 9222208888, type DMRC <space> Card Engraved ID <space> Amount <space> last six digit of ICICI Bank A/c.
 
Noida Metro sets new single-day ridership record of 56,168 passengers

Recently, the Noida-Greater Noida Metro also achieved its highest all-time single-day ridership figure of 56,168, according to an official statement.

The record was set on January 16, 2023, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation said.

The previous single-day highest ridership figure of 52,696 passengers was logged on November 30, 2022. Before that, the record was 50,231 on October 17, 48,852 on October 14, and 48,396 on September 26 in 2022, according to an NMRC official. The Aqua Line was opened to the public in January 2019.

The average monthly ridership on the Aqua Line has been 41,757 in January (up to January 16), 41,496 in December 2022, 43,430 in November and 35,300 in October, the NMRC said.

The Noida metro covers a total length of 29.7 kilometres serving 21 stations.
