Medtech start-up joins hands with Avra Medical Robotics to make robotic surgery accessible, affordable
Avra Medical Robotics is pushing the transition from assistive to semi-autonomous treatments in healthcare with an initial focus on aesthetics.
SS Innovation, an Indian Medtech startup company has joined hands with Avra Medical Robotics, a Nasdaq-listed company in the United States, to make robotic surgery accessible and affordable for the people of our country. SS Innovations launched the first fully “Made in India” surgical robot SSI Mantra, a technologically advanced surgical robotic system that has more and better features and applications than existing systems.
This machine will revolutionize the idea of surgical practices in our homeland and around the world in terms of precision, technical advancement, and cost reduction, making expensive robotic surgery available for the common people.
Dr Frederic Moll, 'Father of Robotic surgery', was also present at the event. Dr Moll, who is the founder of the World’s first surgical robot, the Da Vinci surgical system, emphasised the importance of robotic surgery and the multiple benefits of this procedure over the traditional surgical methodology.

According to Dr Sudhir P Srivastava - founder, chairman & CEO, of SS Innovations - this acquisition will help them reach the global market.
