Magh Purnima February 2023: As per the Hindu calendar, Magh month is believed to be auspicious for charity and charitable activities. Magh Purnima, also known as Maghi Purnima, is the month of Magh's final and most important day. On Magh Purnima, people undertake rituals such as holy baths, donations, cow and home donations at Prayag Sangam on the confluence of the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. For the whole month of Magh, people bath in the Ganges or Yamuna in the morning.

Magh Purnima begins from 9.29 pm on February 4, Saturday. Whereas, the full moon date will end at 11.58 pm on February 5, Sunday. In such a situation, according to Udaya Tithi, Magha Purnima will be celebrated on 5th February.
Magh Purnima February 2023: Shubh muhurat
Shubh Muhurat on February 5 will be from sunrise till 2:41 in the afternoon. Apart from this, there will be Saubhagya Yoga on February 5 from 2.41 pm to 3.25 pm on February 6, in which worship is considered auspicious.

Magh Purnima February 2023: Puja Ritual
-On Maghi Purnima, devotees must bathe in a sacred river before daybreak.
-After bathing, offer Arghya to the Sun God while chanting the Surya Mantra.
-One should fast in order to honour Lord Krishna.
-Food and charity should be offered to the poor, needy, and Brahmins.
-Sesame and black sesame seeds should be donated.
-In the month of Magh, havan should be done with black sesame, and ancestors should be offered black sesame.
-The Gayatri Mantra, also known as the 'Om Namo Narayan' mantra, should be chanted 108 times.

The moon enters Cancer on this day. As a result, it is believed that taking a holy bath on Magh Purnima solves all problems associated with the Sun and Moon. Magh month is also beneficial in terms of science. The month is said to help people adjust to the changing seasons. As a result, bathing on Maghi Purnima gives the body vigour and strength. Apart from that, if Pushya Nakshatra falls on Magha Purnima Ganga Snan Purnima, the day becomes even more auspicious.
