Chandra Grahan 2023, Lunar Eclipse, Sutak Kaal timing: The second and last lunar eclipse, or Chandra Grahan of the year 2023 will occur this weekend. This will be a partial lunar eclipse which will take place on Saturday and Sunday i.e. 28th and 29th October.

The lunar eclipse will be visible in all parts of India, as per the American space agency NASA. Besides, it will also be visible across the entire Eastern Hemisphere, including areas of Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia, NASA said.

Since, this is a partial eclipse of magnitude 0.12, only 12 per cent of the moon will be covered by the earth's shadow at the time of maximum eclipse. The part of the moon inside the umbral will be illuminated only by sunlight refracted from Earth's atmosphere.

The partial lunar eclipse will begin on Saturday, October 28, and continue till Sunday, October 29. The moon will fall in the penumbra shadow of the earth on October 28, and it will enter the umbra shadow region in the early hours of Sunday.
